We graded our first POP in 2018 and have graded thousands of POPs since. We developed the algorithm for calculating the grade for POPs, which includes each side of the box plus the POP inside as well. We designd and created a clear acrylic case (patent pending) that displays each of the six sides completely with no obstructions. We routinely stand on our case (with POPs inside) to demonstrate its strength. It is permanently sealed to prevent any switching of POPs after grading. Just so you know, on our 1.0 to 10.0 grading scale, we have never given a grade of 10.0, as we have never found a POP that was perfect, with no blemishes (including not being touched by human hands, just like “Mint” coins). And we have only had one POP graded at 9.8 (our scale from 8.0 up includes grades of 8.0, 8.5, 9.0, 9.2, 9.4, 9.6, 9.8, 9.9, and 10.0)

We also have four differently colored labels to indicate the type of POP that was graded: Our Standard label is blue to indicate a standard, unsigned POP; our Signature label is gold and indicates that the POP has an authorized signature; our Custom label is purple and means that the POP is a customized POP; and, our Extremely Rare label is platinum, which indicates that there there were 24 or fewer of this POP manufactured (this includes prototypes).

Also, we already grade 6 inch Pops and 2 Packs! At this point in time, no one else does that.

joschik, you are absolutely correct when you say that “just because some service is the first does not mean it is and will remain the best”. The “best” is determined by the customer, not the seller. We encourage everyone to do their own due diligence to determine who is the “best” grader for them. Competition is what America is all about. We welcome all competitors. Please refer to our website at thevvgs.com for more information. Each person chooses who is the best for them.

Hi White Tiger, just because some service is the first does not mean it is and will remain the best – but do tell us what you like/d about VVGS!

They were the first ones you all need to do better research maybe actually talk to the companies and not just make assumptions.

I would do the same and only grade when it comes time to sell a high-value POP (it already makes a difference and this has barely started).
