Unfortunately, we were also noticed by some scammers and already removed more than 40 accounts by bad actors.  Please help us by flagging what you think might be a scammer and please ask for actual photos before buying an item like this  –

Remember that you can check the current Estimated Value.  Remember that you can also learn a lot about Sellers by looking at their Showcase.  Here is mine  –

Those scam accounts are always 1, maybe 2 days old.  And please do not agree to pay on a Private Message via Friends & Family!  So far all purchases we have heard were protected by PayPal but please use the tools we gave you to check on sellers.  And for an item like this ask for photos from all sides.  And while you can get some bargains on hobbyDB we doubt you get an item as less than 1% of its actual value.

Please also note that we assign hobbyDB and PPG sales automatically to the Database Item which in turn means it is calculated into the items’ Estimated Value.  If this happens we try to correct it immediately (but with the Price Guide now calculating every hour versus every 24 hours we will miss some of them.  If you see a big swing in values please look at the last transactions (and when you see something like this please flag the Price Point).

We are currently working on a number of changes that will make selling for scammers much harder and hopefully impossible (more on this soon).  Please help us by not “feeding” them!

POP!s, Rock Candy, Mystery Minis, Dorbz, and Action Figures. There is a little bit of everything for all types of collectors, and much of it available from the marketplace right here on PPG. From the newest items, the 2 Rock Candy figures are available for Pre-Order in our marketplace from “Stars Toy Shop”, to the oldest, POP! GoT #01 Tyrion Lannister is available for only $10. With prices ranging from $3 to $150, there is a piece from the Game of Thrones franchise for every budget. While we don’t have the 3 big ‘Grails’ (Headless Ned, GitD White Walker, Scarred Tyrion) in the POP! line, the marketplace does contain several of the vaulted figures that you might need to finish your set.

Want to sell your items? Here’s a little ditty about how to get started –

Because the marketplace is powered by hobbyDB, you will need to have a hobbyDB account in order to sell. This step is super important and it will help keep the marketplace safe and secure for all of us. So let’s get started!

Click on the List For Sale link on the item, search, or category page

– If you’re not signed in to a hobbyDB account, then you’ll be directed to the sign-in/create an account page.

– Once you login or create an account, you’ll be taken to the list item form.

– When you reach the list item form, fill in the details of your item, upload your pictures (or select the standard image), add price and postage details, and then click the “Sell this Item” button. It’s just that easy!

How much does it cost to list an item?
Nothing! We only charge a small fee when an item sells. The marketplace fee is 7% of the item cost, plus the customary PayPal fee of roughly 3%. These fees help cover the cost of maintaining the marketplace.

So you’ve sold an item, what happens next?
Cue: fist pump, high-five, and happy dance. You’ve made a sale!

Ok ok ok, now that you’ve had adequate time to celebrate, you may be thinking, what happens next? Well, it’s actually a super simple process from purchase to payday. We have dedicated Jedi who are here to ensure all transactions and interactions between buyers and sellers are easy as pie.

– You’ll receive an email with all the details you’ll need to ship your item
– Package the item and ship it directly to your customer within 2-5 business days
– Once you have a tracking number, please email it to hobbyDB’s lovely sales manager Tressa at tressa@hobbydb.com (you will soon be able to do this directly on the website because we know it’s a little bit of a pain).
– Every Wednesday you will be paid for items that have been received by your fellow PPGers.

And there will be moar. Moar! MOAR!! (And not just because Billy Idol said so.)

You may have noticed the marketplace button in the navigation bar. If you were bold enough to click it, you already know the magical place it can take you.

Basically, marketplace-ception. Previously, we have used the word ‘marketplace’ to describe the ability to sell on PPG. Well now, we have added an actual destination where you can easily see all of the current For Sale items.

Perfect for those of us (ie everyone) who love to scroll through for-sale items until we can no longer resist pulling the trigger on that Planet Arlia Vegeta

So, here’s where we’re at with the marketplace timeline –

The ability to see and search all of the items for sale in one place. (Nailed It)
A shopping cart which lets you buy more than one item at a time. (What kind of day is it? A Treat Yo Self kind of day)
A streamlined ability for PPGers to list items for sale in the marketplace. (We are on schedule here and the functionality to create sale listings in a more streamlined way will be live within the next week.)

After we get that streamlined listing process up and running, we’ll be working with our friends at hobbyDB to monitor and improve the marketplace. They are also helping us make sure the marketplace is secure and in tip top shape.

Are you ready to sell some of your items?

We’ve had an awesome initial roll-out of sellers, they’ve added some amazing items to the marketplace and we’re now at more than 2,000 items for sale. Let’s just say, when someone ordered their Princess Leia (Boushh Unmasked), we had an impromptu dance party knowing that she had found a happy home.

The Beginnings Of The (Beta) Marketplace

The fact that “A new marketplace” won the poll was no surprise and made perfect sense to us – it’s something we’d tried before, but we ran into a number of issues, including security concerns, which forced us to retire it. So this go around we figured we needed help and found the team at hobbyDB – a group of similarly-minded collectors with a lot of experience selling online and building a secure, fully-functioning online marketplace.

As a result, you’ll very shortly see the first super-tentative test in a series of steps which are intended to lead us up to our very own brand new PPG marketplace! Starting today, you’ll see a new PPG “For Sale” widget popping up on some item pages. It’ll look like this;

Over time, as we get more storefronts onboard, you’ll see the widget popping up on more and more pages. If you are interested in selling on PPG, you can leave us a comment, reach out through social media or email us directly at support@hobbydb.com.

Timeline for next steps

As above, this is a first step towards the full marketplace. We’re working as fast as we can on this with Alex, Andrew, Christian, Dayne and the other good people over at hobbyDB to bring in features we hope you’ll love. The next stages in the process will be:

– The ability to see and search all of the items for sale in one place. This should be in place in the next two weeks.
– A shopping cart which lets you buy more than one item at a time. This should arrive the week after.
– The ability for PPGers to list their items for sale directly from PPG! This functionality should start to be available the week after that.
