Disney:
From Toy Story, we will be getting a green Army Man, included in the modeling is the iconic base that holds his feet together. And from Moana, Shark Head Maui reminds us that using a magical fishhook to transform into different animals takes a little practice to get right again if you are out of practice.

Marvel:
2 POP!s and a Dorbz repersent Marvel’s showing at Funko’s ECCC booth.

• Deadpool Duck is the only Dorbz announced today.
• She-Hulk is ready to go to court in her lawyer suit.
• Yondu comes flying in like Mary Poppins.

Star Wars:
Cuddle up with the limited edition plushie of Ahsoka or prepare for battle with the Geonosian variant of the Padme Amidala POP!

This year ECCC has really stepped up their panel game the first of the day was for Outlander which we had to wait outside in the rain for nearly two hours to attend. And it was a packed house of 2,000 with lots of people having traveled from out of state to attend (those Outlander fans are die hard). The stars of the show Caitriona and Sam really seemed to enjoy themselves in their first Con experience outside of SDCC. The panel had a really fun vibe with the moderator Claire Kramer  going out of her way to field questions that hadn’t already been asked a million times before. And as you can see in the pics Sam was wearing a kilt so even better.

The Animaniacs panel was a major blast having been a huge fan of the show since I was a kid being in a room full of adults singing Animaniacs songs was a very special experience for me. Rob, Tress, Jess and Maurice had great chemistry on stage and listening to them seamlessly switch from one voice to another was really incredible but the highlight had to have been hearing Rob swear in Pinky’s voice truly EPIC.

The Guardians of the Galaxy panel with Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn was a lot of fun despite a large portion of the Q and A being high jacked by Gilmore Girls questions. Michael is quite the character at the end when the moderator said they didn’t have time for any more questions he high jacked the panel by jumping off the stage with his microphone and proceeded to go down the line of people who had been waiting so all questions could be answered.

This year the Artist Alley has been expanded into where they formerly  held the Autographing and Photo Ops giving way more amazing Artists the space to showcase some incredible work.

So another day at ECCC is over I’m going to start preparing for the madhouse that Saturday will be. Wish me luck hopefully I will survive to bring you more tidbits.

For those that don’t know, in the comic books, Ego is a living planet. It seems that he will take a human form in at least part of the upcoming Guardians sequel. It was also revealed that Ego is Star-Lord’s father, so it makes sense that he has the ability to resemble a human.

We’ll start with the POP!s. And the biggest suprise is the 10″ Super-Sized Groot, which will be a Target exclusive. no information right now on price, but i would guess it will retail at $20ish.

The rest of the line include 3 Star-lords [Regular, Masked (Chase), Action Pose (Toys R Us)], Gamora, Drax, 2 Rockets [Jet Pack (Regular) and Dual Pistols (GameStop)], 3 Groots [Regular, Jumpsuit (Walmart), Jumpsuit with Patch (Hot Topic)], Nebula, and 2 two characters Mantis and Taserface.

3 new Marvel keychains are coming too. Star Lord, Groot and Rocket will be making their return to guarding your keys.

Dorbz were not forgotten for this film either. The 2 new characters, Mantis and Taserface, will be added to the Dorbz lineup. Another Rocket and 2 more versions of  Groot will be made also.

Mantis and Gamora will be featured in the expansion of the Rock Candy line. The Marvel pint size hero line will expand to include all your favorite characters from Guardians. And the final addition for Volumes 2 is four Hero Plushies (Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot and Jumpsuit Groot).

*Update* Funko has announced Star-Lord Mix Tape is an Exclusive to the UK store Underground Toys. To be on the safe side if you need him in your collection as of now you’ll have to order him from Popcultcha or Forbidden Planet when/if he is available there. Since Underground Toys Exclusives have made US appearances in the past it’s not impossible that Star-Lord could show up as a store Exclusive in the US at some point,only time will tell.

Just when you thought your Guardians of the Galaxy Pop collection was complete Star-Lord with Mix Tape dances his way into the line. We usually hear rumors of new additions before a new Pop appears but this one was a surprise! He is already available In Stock at Popcultcha in Australia which leads me to believe he might be an  Exclusive in the United States at some point but that’s just a guess. Star-Lord with his Walkman makes a lot of sense considering how important music is to the character. With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 set to release in theaters May 5,2017 we are sure to see figures that will be specific to the sequel next Spring.
