GameStop Gets In SDCC Shared Exclusives Game

Can’t make it to Southern California for the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con? Does that make you angrier than Red Hood at Batman for not killing the Joker?

Take a deep breath.

GameStop has you covered with its collection of SDCC shared exclusives – including a Pop! Heroes: DC – Red Hood.

A Marvel Stud10 Iron Man and a Captain America/Red Skull Dorbz 2-Pack join Red Hood from the comic book universe.

Funko’s Pop! Games genre receives a boost with the addition of a Destiny Sweeper Bot, as well as a 76 Grillmaster from Overwatch.

Rick and Morty take on Western form, while Dustin from Stranger Things remains dateless to the Snow Ball Dance. Don’t worry, it’ll work out for him.

GameStop concludes its nine-figure SDCC shared exclusives with a Rock Candy Version of Alana from Saga.

Pop! Deadpool Exclusives Get New Costumes

You have to hand it to Deadpool. He’s a superhero of many, many different costumes, getups and attires.

He’s also among the kings of the Pop! Marvel Universe.

Funko announced on Friday a wave of Pop! Deadpool figures, in a follow-up to its Toy Fair New York Reveals in mid-February.

The latest batch makes its rounds among the company’s exclusives circuit and witnesses our hero go under the guise of characters such as Deadpool Cheerleader (Box Lunch), Samurai Deadpool (Game Stop) and Deadpool King (FYE).

For you animal lovers, Wade Wilson’s alter ego also arrives this summer in Chicken Deadpool (Amazon) form — as well as in variants of Mermaid Deadpool (Target) and Pandapool (Hot Topic).

Lest we forget to mention the 7-Eleven exclusive where he’s fittingly clutching a chimichanga.

The Return of Sonic the Hedgehog!

Collectors of the Pop Games line know that the three Sonic Pops of old – Knuckles, Tails, and Sonic himself – have been out of production for a while, are highly coveted and will set you back more than a few bucks. After over two years of these being absent from the shelves, Funko is bringing back Sonic and friends (and enemies) to stores everywhere. The standard line will feature two versions of Sonic (one with rings, one with an emerald), Shadow, and Dr. Eggman. We’ll also see three exclusives – Super Sonic at Gamestop, Shadow w/ Chaos at Hot Topic, and Glow in the Dark Sonic w/ Rings at Toys R Us. These are set to hit in December.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Pop 2- Packs

A quartet of Pop Vinyl 2-packs are on the way from Funko, celebrating characters from the popular crossover game series Marvel Vs. Capcom. Four sets will be released this November – Captain Marvel Vs. Chun-Li, Rocket Vs. Mega Man X, Gamora Vs. Strider, and Ultron Vs. Sigma. These will each have exclusive variants as well, with the exclusive being found at Hot Topic, Gamestop, FYE, and Toys R Us, respectively.

Mortal Kombat Finally Joins Pop Games Series!

Mortal Kombat is joining the Pop Games series, and these figures look amazing. The first wave is a big one, with seven new figures, one chase, and one 2-pack. Joining the lineup’s debut will be five regular releases – Scorpion, Sub-Zero (with chase figure), Kitana, Liu Kang, and Raiden. In additional, we’ll see Gamestop exclusives of a super-sized Goro and Frozen Scorpion/Flaming Sub-Zero 2-pack, and a Hot Topic exclusive Flaming Skull Scoprion. Look for these to hit in November.

Star Wars Mystery Mini Exclusive Update

If you’re in the market for the upcoming Star Wars Mystery Minis and hope to get a complete set, be prepared to expand your search! In addition to the standard 12 of Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, C-3PO, Stormtrooper, Grand Moff Tarkin, Hammerhead, Snaggletooth, Chewbacca, Walrus Man, Greedo, Shadow Trooper, Ben Kenobi, Jawa, and Darth Vader, exclusives can be found at GameStop, Hot Topic and Walmart.

At GameStop, Luke, Han and Vader are placed with Luke and Han in Stormtrooper outfits and Vader in a different pose.

At Hot Topic, Greedo, Shadow Trooper, Snaggletooth and Darth Vader are replaced with an alternate version of Greedo (why?), TIE Fighter Pilot, and “Force Choke” Vader.

At Walmart, Leia, Shadow Trooper and Chewbacca are replaced with Chewbacca holding a bowcaster, Tusken Raider, and Kenobi’s spirit form.
