Pop Price Guide Upgrade: Rev Your Engines

We’ve begun the process of dropping a new engine into Pop Price Guide with site-wide upgrades that you should start to see over the course of the next week.

While the PPG you know and love for its up-to-date price valuations and collection management isn’t going anywhere, we are making some behind-the-scenes upgrades to maximize your PPG experience.

In the interim, you may notice that your collection and wish list live in two places – both in the upgraded hobbyDB environment and on the old PPG site. The new Pop Price Guide and hobbyDB will share the same underlying database.

Once the upgrade is complete, you’ll be able to enjoy several new features, including improved search capabilities, price charts and customizable lists, to name a few. Read about all of the exciting new changes here.

What you can do

Transferring your collection into the new supercharged system is easy and only requires a minimum of at least one item in your Collection or Want List. We’ll do the rest.

Once the upgrade has finished, in order to protect your privacy, you will be prompted to reset your account with a new password. You will be able to do so here.

For folks that already have an account on hobbyDB, your collection will be automatically merged and no password reset is necessary.

Create your look

There are a few things that you will need to do in order to maximize the most of your new showcase.

Avatar and banner images will not transfer from PPG with the upgrade. That means you’ll have to upload new photos and images to your profile. Think of it as an opportunity to give your showcase a makeover.
