Today we are excited to be giving back to the community and we hope it is in a big way, but we need your help!

Yesterday and today hobbyDB has been keeping track of the transaction fees they are collecting on the PPG Marketplace for a very special reason. Together we will be donating all of those collected fees to Heart of Florida United Way! The hurricane relief effort has helped more than 650,000 people. With a large portion of our community in Florida and the surrounding states, we know they are already helping some of our own.

The suggestion to donate to United Way came from a fellow PPG’er who lives and has family in the affected areas. We really appreciate the outreach from her and are excited to give to an organization with so many initiatives going on at the grass roots level.

It’s Friday so we thought we’d send you into the weekend with a little bit of information from the happenings here at Pop Price Guide. From the Hurricane Relief Weekend, to how incredible our volunteers have been and of course the Friday Daily Deal, we have a lot to talk about!

Volunteers KILLED IT This Month

This month has been truly fun to watch the volunteers be as involved as they have been. We had 34 volunteers active this month and a few listing parties were even organized. Volunteers made the whole experience fun and competitive. As such, the volunteers had THEIR BEST MONTH EVER! Over 100k listings and reports have been covered this month for the first time ever and we can barely believe it.

Congratulations, well done and the Biggest Thank You Of All Time goes out to our volunteers. The team that keeps Pop Price Guide alive, well, relevant and useful.

Hurricane Relief Weekend

Last weekend we decided we should do what we could to help those in our country affected by the Hurricanes; so the PPG and hobbyDB teams decided to donate the collected fees from all Pop Price Guide Marketplace transactions to Heart Of Florida United Way. If you decided to add to your collection through the marketplace last weekend, or plan to add this weekend, you are helping us help those in need and we appreciate it!

We need help! This weekend, Saturday September 23rd and Sunday September 24th, hobbyDB has agreed to donate all collected fees to a Florida Hurricane Relief Effort. We know that these storms have affected a big portion of our community and feel it is necessary to do what we can.

This weekend is a great weekend to build your collection and help out people who are truthfully in need!

We have not solidified an effort to donate to, but we are currently working on finding one and would love your suggestions! We didn’t just want to give to any effort. We really want to donate to those that are doing the most work and need the most help. If you have any suggestions please comment below and let us know!
