JPOPS is well known in the custom POP scene. They even did the Powerpuff Girls long before Funko planned to release them!
Perhaps one of JPOPS’ most well known lines is it’s X-Men series. They started off with a release of Deadpool vs. Cable.
They also released an adorable Wolvie and Colossus pairing doing the “fastball special.”
Perhaps their most popular design for this series is Gambit in action!
Now comes a trio of X-Men with bases similar to the Gambit POP. They can be yours for approximately $150 each, Â shipped globally.

When is Funko going to do either a Gambit, Nightcrawler, or an Ice-man pop? They are characters that are huge fan favorites and have been for years.
Funko needs to get more old-school with their new release ideas. Jpop is on the right track.
Funko should make these sort of things, pops with dynamic stands that fits in with their pose. It should be like it’s own thing like 6 inch pops.
I’m still kinda dumbfounded as to why there hasn’t been many X-Men pops based on the movies. Was hoping X-Men: Apocalypse would get a line of pops or something from Funko, but nada. Could it be a licensing issue?
Ever noticed how Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 got not just Pops but other merchandise, yet the X-Men films rarely get anything (since First Class)? That’s because with the Spider-Man films, Marvel doesn’t have to pay Sony a cut for making Spider-Man film merchandise, but have to pay Fox a cut for making X-Men film merchandise. Plus there was a conflict in the last year or two between Marvel and Fox in which Marvel told licensors to put a halt to all X-Men and Fantastic Four merchandise, even the comic versions.
This might be why all the X-Men Pops out so far (and upcoming) are all comic book based.
Fox owns the rights to X-men movies, Marvel owns the rights to produce X-men merchandising. If marvel makes any x-men movie merchandise, they have to give a big percentage of that generated money to fox.
“Marvel Executive Editor Tom Brevoort responded to a question on Tumblr about the lack of X-Men toys: âIf you had two things, and on one you earned 100% of the revenues from the efforts that you put into making it, and the other you earned a much smaller percentage for the same amount of time and effort, youâd be more likely to concentrate more heavily on the first, wouldnât you?â”
I LIKE THEM ALL JUST A LITTLE 2 PRICEY 4 ME
AND I SO HOPE FUNKO DOES THEM ALL THIS WELL THE BASES R AWESOME
cool to bad we will never see movie pops but we can see pops with costumes similar to the movies since some were from the comics and we can do so many comic related x-men pops!
Marvel is killing pretty much anything that has to do with the xmen
IMO, custom (unofficial, unlicensed) Pops shouldn’t be covered or showcased with news stories on the main site. Discussion of them should be kept in the forums. Because however cool they are (and these are quite impressive), they aren’t ‘real’.
Who cares if they aren’t “real”? They’re pieces of work that collectors/artists have put together and are well worth showcasing to the Funko community. We’re not touting them as real. Regardless, the front page isn’t just for news, it’s for whatever we feel like putting out there.
