]]> Emerald City Comic Con starts in one month, Funko showed us the first of their exclusives for it today. Today was dedicated to the Disney Company. We expect a few more days of exclusives to be coming soon. Funko announced that the availablity if these pieces outside of the convention itself will be announced on February 28th.

Exclusives from Marvel, Star Wars and Disney include 1 dorbz, 5 POP! figures, and 1 plushie. Funko also revealed 2 low production number exclusives from LoungeFly.

Disney:
From Toy Story, we will be getting a green Army Man, included in the modeling is the iconic base that holds his feet together. And from Moana, Shark Head Maui reminds us that using a magical fishhook to transform into different animals takes a little practice to get right again if you are out of practice.

 

Marvel:
2 POP!s and a Dorbz repersent Marvel’s showing at Funko’s ECCC booth.

  • Deadpool Duck is the only Dorbz announced today.
  • She-Hulk is ready to go to court in her lawyer suit.
  • Yondu comes flying in like Mary Poppins.

Star Wars:
Cuddle up with the limited edition plushie of Ahsoka or prepare for battle with the Geonosian variant of the Padme Amidala POP!

]]> Funko celebrates May the Fourth with another Star Wars announcement! Four new Pops will see release in September – Galen Erso, Young Jyn Erso, Weeteef Cyubee, and a black Death Star Droid. Given that the DSD is marked as “Black”, I think we can safely expect a silver version at some point as well.

These can be preordered at Entertainment Earth and Pop In A Box.

Also coming later this year is wave 2 of Star Wars Galactic Plushies. The Star Wars Classic 8-Inch Galactic Plushies Wave 2 Display Case includes a total of 9 plush. May include Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Wicket, Yoda, or Stormtrooper.

Finally, an image has surfaced of the first wave of Star Wars Mystery Minis! This first wave focuses on A New Hope and has a great selection of heroes, villains and aliens.

Cartoon Network Enterprises Names Funko Master Toy Licensee Partner for Hit Adult Swim Series Rick and Morty

Cartoon Network Enterprises is broadening its licensing program around popular Adult Swim brand Rick and Morty by expanding its partnership with Funko, the world’s leading creator of pop culture collectibles. The company has been named master toy partner for Rick and Morty, and will help bring the critically acclaimed animated series to life with the introduction of a vast assortment of products that will be available at select mass retailers nationwide.

The first products to be introduced in the collection include Galactic Plushies, Mystery Minis and Pocket Pop! keychains. For its signature Pop! brand, Funko is expanding its Rick and Morty vinyl figure collection with the addition of nine new, highly detailed figures. The company will also introduce the first fully-posable, articulated action figure line for Rick and Morty. Each character within the 5 figure assortment includes a unique bonus piece. Collect all five and fans can build their own Snowball figure. A range of additional products from roleplay toys to novelty housewares and home décor, as well as apparel and accessories, are also included in the new partnership and will start rolling out later this year.

Created and executive produced by Dan Harmon (Community) and Justin Roiland (Adventure Time), Rick and Morty follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe. The series’ season two premiere ranked #1 in its time period among all key adults and men and charted triple-digit delivery gains over its prior season premiere. Rick and Morty season three is currently in production.
