It’s been another wonderful year for new Pop! Vinyl figures as we wind down the final days of 2019.

Before we look ahead to the great Funko products that await us in 2020, however, let’s take a few moments to look back at the Top! Pop! Figures from the last 12 months.

We’re counting down the most popular Pop! figures from 2019 and working our way to the big reveal on New Year’s Eve.

To determine the year’s hottest Pop!s, we deployed an intricate algorithm that was brought back to us via a DeLorean and kept away from the greedy hands of violent Libyan mall terrorists.

Turns out, the code is simple. We tallied the amount of times an item appears in both users’ collections (OWN) and their wish lists (WANT) within the PPG database. The results are a swath of our favorite Pop!s from Marvel and Star Wars to Disney and more, including our No. 3 Pop! of the year, according to you, the fans and collectors…

No. 3 Stan Lee (Patina)

Stan Lee comes in many different colors and outfits, but none won over the hearts of Pop! Marvel fans in 2019 more than Stan Lee (Patina). The father of Marvel Comics is owned by more than 7,400 fans and wanted by close to 500 more, making him the most popular Pop! Marvel vinyl of the year. Lee also appeared in 2019 as an Astronaut version of his character from “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” which doubled as a New York Comic Con and Walmart shared exclusive and can be found in the collections of more than 2,700 PPG users.

ACGHK 2016 debuts some new Pops

It’s the 18th installment of the Animation-Comic-Hong Kong and some new POPs have been sighted.

There seems to be a red variant of Chun-Li at the Con. It’s been reported that Mindstyle is only allowing purchases of this POP if buyers purchase 5 regular Street Fighter POPs.

There’s another female POP that was first thought to be a Harley Quinn variant. Closer inspection reveals it has something to with a cosplay character or a cosplay celebrity named Momo.

There’s also a variant of Po chowing down on some dimsum! Very appropriate for Hong Kong!

Finally, the latest Stan Lee variant is a red re-paint of the recent Stan Lee/Guan Yu mash-up.

SDCC 2016 Exclusive Guan Yu Stan Lee

The Stan Lee Collectibles booth will be selling an exclusive Guan Yu Stan Lee Pop! at San Diego Comic Con this year! Similar to the Guan Yu Stan Lee that was available at ToyCon Philippines last month, this black suit version will cost $25. Two Toy Con 2016 (Philippines) Exclusives

Toy Con 2016 in the Philippines is now underway and with it comes two exclusive Funko Pop! Vinyls! The first is Stan Lee as Guan Yu (from Three Kingdoms) and the second is the mythic creature Siyokoy! Both of these Pops are currently only available at the Toy Con event.

Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo 2015 Exclusives!

Since 2011 Stan Lee’s Annual Comikaze Expo has been a diverse Convention for all genre’s of Pop Culture from Comics to Sci-Fi,Gaming,Horror and Anime. This year the Expo will be Oct.30th-Nov.1st. I have never made the trip to the LA Convention Center myself but it certainly sounds like my kind of weekend! There have been some awesome Exclusive Pop Vinyls made for the event in the past few years including the Peter Parker Pop,GITD Storm,Unmasked Captain America and Comikaze Stan. This years Exclusives are pretty impressive too. Check them Out! Which one is on your Want list??

Funko New York Comic Con Exclusives – Wave Four

The fourth and (almost) final wave of Funko’s New York Comic Con exclusives have been announced. It looks like we’ll see a third series of Stan Lee Pops, this time with a superhero theme. The Pop Tie Fighter sees a Chrome Metallic variant, and Rico from Penguins of Madagascar gets “hammered”. The Terminator 2 T-1000 Reaction Figure gives Groot and Batman a run for their money with another variation, a metallic version of the Frozen Patrolman. The four Ninja Turtles Dorbz get the black & white treatment in a slick-looking Dorbz 4-pack, and My Little Pony’s Rainbow Dash sees a new Glitter Color Storm version. Finally, three new Pop Tees will be available: Star Wars’ Captain Phasma, Stan Lee on the Empire State Building, and “Freddyzilla”.
