Freddy Funko and Big Boy are getting, well, a new big boy.
The latest Freddy figure not only introduces Funko’s newest line of collectibles dubbed Project Fred 01, but does so on the company’s brand new drop platform.
Funko will launch its new EQL drop platform this March with its venerable mascot Freddy Funko returning to his Big Boy roots.
The new line of 11-inch-tall figures focuses on high end collectibles and debuts with a limited edition of only 750 Freddy Funko’s – including a Freddy Funko-as-Big Boy variant with an LE of just 75!
We’ll let Funko explain how to get yours –
Project Fred 01 is Funko’s first launch powered by EQL. This launch is open to entries from March 7th at 9:30 AM PST and closes at 11:59 PM PST on March 10th. Those hoping to collect the first edition of Project Fred submit a single entry into the launch and winners will be randomly selected after the launch closes.
Funko celebrated the launch on Feb. 27-28 with a restaurant takeover of the original Big Boy in Burbank, Calif., where they doled out 150 exclusive pins to the first 150 fans to come through the door.

I’ll be 70 in June and seriously love my collection. I have a lot of Funko Pops. I have them all in my Funko room and I love every little one of them. My favorites right now are the Sons of Anarchy, Godfather and all the rest too. I saw one one day in a store and I was hooked. That was around 10 years ago I’d say. People thought I was crazy but since then they are collecting too.
